The charming 400-year-old walled garden, containing an abundance of fruit, vegetables, and flowers, is the perfect backdrop for your event.

Properties to Let

Hackthorn Estate offers a substantial portfolio of let residential and commercial properties. Our houses and cottages, ranging from substantial farmhouses to two-bedroomed cottages, are available for long-term let in the charming villages of Hackthorn and Cold Hanworth. Commercial properties, including traditional and modern buildings, are also available for a variety of uses, subject to relevant planning and other consents.

Film Location

Hackthorn Hall and the surrounding formal gardens are used as a fabulous setting for a variety of events throughout the year. With 100 acres of landscaped parkland, the secluded grounds and gardens are perfect for filming period dramas and historic documentaries. The estate is located just off the A15 with easy access to the North and South of England via the A1, making it an ideal location for filming.

Gardens and Grounds

The gardens, laid out around the Hall and church, extend to around 15 acres and comprise formal and woodland gardens, as well as an ornamental and productive walled garden. The largest privately owned and second-oldest grapevine in Britain, planted in 1868, is housed in one of the glasshouses within the walled garden.
