Coltsfoot Country Retreat

Coltsfoot Country Retreat is a unique and exclusive wedding and event venue, nestled in the heart of Hertfordshire countryside. Our stunning boutique venue is located in the picturesque hamlet of Bulls Green, surrounded by rolling hills and acres of beautiful countryside. We pride ourselves on being a family-run business, with the proprietors, Richard and Jenny, being heavily involved in the day-to-day running of the venue.

With a rich history dating back to 1998, Coltsfoot Country Retreat was originally a working livery yard, which was converted into a small hotel and restaurant. As word of mouth spread, we began hosting private wedding events, which soon evolved into exclusive use venue for weddings and events.

The Main Barn

Our converted barn is a true showstopper, with vaulted ceilings and beams that allow for the beautiful countryside views to be showcased. The main barn can accommodate up to 180 guests in the evening and 120 guests for the wedding breakfast. The barn has undergone significant transformations, including the removal of the mezzanine floor to create a larger, more open space.

Food and Drink

At Coltsfoot Country Retreat, we take pride in our exceptional cuisine, with our chef and his team creating mouth-watering dishes that are tailored to each couple's specific needs. We offer a range of menu options to suit every taste and dietary requirement, including traditional three-course meals, hot and cold fork buffets, BBQs, and even pizza ovens. Our evening food options are equally impressive, offering a choice of hog roasts, pizza ovens, and canapes.
