With over 15 years of experience in the industry, I have honed my skills to provide a wide range of services including bridal, editorial, and extension hair styling. I am based in Althorne, Essex, and I take pride in being part of someone's big day, whether it's a wedding, prom, or any special occasion.

I have always had a fascination with hair, even as a young child. I would spend hours analyzing different hairstyles and trying to figure out how to recreate them on my dolls. After leaving school, I decided to pursue my passion and trained in hairdressing, earning my NVQ 1 & 2.

My dedication to staying updated with the latest trends and techniques led me to obtain a diploma in hair extension application and long hair techniques with Patrick Cameron, a worldwide leading hair stylist. I am also proud to have been a finalist in 'The Essex Wedding Award' for the past four years and regionally shortlisted in the top 5 hair stylists for the East of England in the '2014 The Wedding Industry Award'.

At Michelle Smith Hair, we offer a variety of services to cater to all your hairstyling needs. Whether you're looking for a bridal hairstyle that makes you feel like a princess, or a stunning look for your prom or special event, we've got you covered.

Our wedding day hair service includes all finishing touches such as veils, tiaras, and fascinators. We understand the importance of making your special day truly unforgettable, and we're dedicated to providing you with the highest level of service and attention to detail. For larger bridal parties, an assistant may be required, and an extra 10 per person will be added to the final bill.

We also offer wedding trial prices which include a 2-3 hour session to discuss timings, themes, and to try out different hairstyles. A trial without the bride would also be 100. Additionally, we supply samples of a variety of handmade hair accessories which can be used during the trial for those who are unsure on what to go for. These can be purchased or made to order.

For those looking for a temporary solution, we offer clip-in human hair extensions to hire for 50 (plus a deposit of 50 refundable once sent back) or to buy at a price on request.
