A Journey Through Time

The earliest documented presence of Allington dates back to the Domesday Book. For centuries, the manor changed hands, each owner leaving their unique mark. The Grants, affluent yeoman farmers, left their indelible stamp in the 16th century, adding the iconic Dutch gables and dog leg staircase. Subsequent owners, the Williamson and Welby families, sadly allowed the property to deteriorate over time.

Resurrection and Transformation

In 1948, local philanthropist Mr. Palin saved the manor from its dilapidated state. With the unwavering efforts of the Vincent family, Allington Manor experienced a remarkable renaissance in 1983. Today, we stand as the proud custodians of this historical treasure, committed to sharing its unique character and charm with the world.
