Although I, Bernadette, planned my final wedding in 2021, I am delighted to continue offering my services to past clients upon special request. My extensive experience in the wedding and party planning industry, spanning over 20 years, enables me to recommend the most suitable venues (or marquees) and suppliers for your celebration. I take pride in managing all logistics, from budget control to design, and acting as the key point of contact for your suppliers and venue. My ultimate goal is to exceed expectations and create memories of a spectacular celebration for both you and your guests.

At Dream Occasions, my role is to tailor our event planning service according to each client's specific needs. Some clients prefer to organise the event together, while others prefer to hand over the budget, design, and planning, and simply turn up on the day. Regardless of your preference, I am committed to organising your event with immense love, a lot of laughter, and meticulous attention to detail. I have a particular passion for marquee celebrations, where I love to transform a blank canvas into a magical setting using a highly professional team of experts. My knowledge as a marquee wedding and party planner allows me to create stunning, memorable weddings and parties for my clients.

Dream Occasions was founded in 2002, and since then, I have had the privilege of producing and designing over 100 celebrations. Each event is unique, with varying guest numbers and planning timeframes. My objective is to execute your celebration seamlessly, irrespective of the duration of our collaboration. My passion for marquee celebrations stems from my ability to transform a blank canvas into a magical setting using a highly professional team of experts. I only work with a limited number of clients each year to ensure that each celebration receives the attention it deserves. I am committed to providing a calm and meticulous service, making you feel important throughout our time together.

My Path into Event Planning

My journey into event planning began in the tourism industry, moving into TV production, and culminating in a career as a top City Executive Assistant to Vice Presidents at CNBC. Transitioning into event planning was a natural progression for me, as it allowed me to utilise the extensive skills gained from my corporate career. I co-founded the UK Alliance of Wedding Planners (UKAWP) in 2004 to recognise the need for excellence in the unregulated wedding industry. I am passionate about the industry and have trained over 1,000 planners, mentored hundreds of businesses, and co-authored "Wedding Planning for Dummies" to help even more couples plan their perfect wedding.

When I'm Not Working

Spending time with my amazingly supportive family is a top priority for me. I have been married since 2001 and have three children. When not planning client celebrations, I love taking long walks in the countryside with my dog and listening to business books. I also enjoy curling up at night with a glass of wine and a romantic book. My favourite part of a client's celebration is seeing their faces light up when they walk into the marquee for the first time, taking in the magical setting we have created together.
