Exclusive Events, Personal Touch

Located in the heart of Cheshire, Wincham Hall Country Hotel is a family-run business that offers a warm welcome and a unique experience for guests. With a rich history dating back to the 12th century, our hotel is steeped in tradition and character, with beautifully maintained gardens and elegant accommodations.

Our Story

The history of Wincham Hall dates back to 1087, when it was first mentioned in the Doomsday Book as belonging to "Dot" a Free Man. Over the centuries, the estate changed hands several times, with the Venables family playing a significant role in its ownership. In the mid-15th century, Francis Venables married Charles Lee, whose descendants continued to own the hall until the 20th century. In 1910, the hall became a ladies' college, attracting students from around the world. After World War II, the hall fell into disrepair, but in recent years, the current owners have lovingly restored the property to its former glory, creating a charming and comfortable hotel set amidst six acres of beautifully manicured gardens.
