For over 20 years, we have been privileged to host some of the most memorable celebrations in the area, from weddings to corporate events, and we take immense pride in our ability to provide an unparalleled level of service and attention to detail.
Our History
With a rich heritage dating back to the 16th Century, Moreteyne Manor has been passed down through generations of families, starting with the de Morteyn family, who held the manor until 1428. Subsequent owners, including the Reynes, Decon, and Snagge families, each left their mark on the estate. In the 19th Century, the Duke of Bedford acquired Moreteyne Manor, further renovating and restoring the property. In the 20th Century, the Manor was sold to various owners, including the Franklin family and Mr. E.J. Hillson, before being acquired by our current owners, Mark and Jacqui Hickman, who have lovingly restored and transformed this beautiful estate into the renowned wedding venue and restaurant it is today.
