Our approach is to elegantly combine vibrant storytelling with a contemporary editorial photography style, creating a beautiful and unique photographic record of your wedding day.
Dan Akerman is an experienced and passionate wedding photographer who has been honing his craft for over two decades. His desire for photography stems from an artistic background that dates back several generations. Dan's father, grandfather, and great grandfather all captured the emotion of art with a brush, and nurture did not determine that Dan would follow in his family's footsteps. However, his genetic pull was drawn towards photography, creating artistic images with a camera. Dan instantly fell in love with the photographic process, from capture to develop then print - he was hooked.
Dan's aim is to respectfully record and document your wedding day, the atmosphere, the energy, the ceremony, and the emotion, to provide you and your families with an accurate record of the day's events. Dan is a huge lover of mono and spent the best part of 4 years in a darkroom. Away from photography, Dan loves playing and watching as much football as possible, albeit his body is telling him otherwise, and he is a suffering Evertonian. On the weekends he has free, Dan, his wife Helen, and their dog Reggie enjoy visiting small villages and towns around the UK. Music is a significant part of Dan's life, along with watching classic films and immersing himself in the wonderful world of art - simplicity is key to keeping his feng shui in order.
Our Services
Dan Akerman Photography offers two collections of wedding photography services, Collection A and Collection B, to suit different wedding requirements and budgets.
Collection A includes 8-10 hours of photography, starting with the bridal/groom preparations around 3 hours prior to the ceremony, capturing all those moments that will unfold throughout the day, groups, and the all-important couple portraits. The photography concludes just after the first dance. An online viewing gallery to share with friends and 550-650 edited digital files are provided. Additionally, a 100 wedding album voucher is included in the package.
Collection B is the ultimate coverage for a wedding day, offering every moment captured as the day unfolds, preparations, ceremony, speeches, first dance and evening celebrations. Not forgetting those fine moments in-between, the complete story! 10-12 hours of coverage, an online viewing gallery, 650-750 edited digital files and all images provided on a USB are included. A 3020 storybook album is a beautiful addition to this package.
Dan also offers optional extras such as engagement sessions, wedding albums and additional wedding photography services.
